Help in collecting exhibits and memorabilia dedicated to the Oder and save them from oblivion! Participate in the creation of ODRATEKA – the largest collection of exhibits dedicated to the river and the inhabitants of its basin.

Oder – a river of many generations

The Oder river’s had a significant impact on the millions of people inhabiting its basin for hundreds of years. It affected the inhabitants in many spheres of life. It’s had a strong culture-forming role for many nations through many generations. Among the memories of families and their ancestors, the Oder often appears not only in stories but also in photos, documents and objects of everyday life. In 2015 the OnWater.pl foundation created the first archive in Poland under the name ODRATEKA, which will be available to everyone at the Odra Centrum >>>

ODRATEKA – the largest collection of exhibits dedicated to the river

ODRATEKA is an unlimited database of photos, film materials and other exhibits that preserves the history of the river and its inhabitants over the centuries. ODRATEKA is a project that is addressed to all those who want to get to know the Oder or simply to learn more about it. We invite you all to use and co-create resources of ODRATEKA, regardless of your age or profession.

If you know where to find or you have things that can become exhibits in ODRATEKA, please contact us and we will do the rest. We will keep them for future generations, we will carefully take care of them (because we love the Oder!) and we will exhibit them in the Odra Centrum >>

What can you donate to ODRATEKA?

Archival materials:
Photographs, postcards, maps, engravings, projections, projects, logbooks, films (8mm, 16mm, VHS, etc.), projects of boats, ships, pushers, barges, ports, marinas, etc. books on Oder and water

Items:
Old uniforms, hats, old lifebuoys, old kapokas, old instructions and information boards, portholes, flags, small nautical equipment, old ropes, old moorings, shackles, blocks, carabiners – old, maps, postcards, photos, engravings, albums, old oars, old boat hooks, ship elements, (cleats, pilings, wheelhouses), steering wheels, old masts and rigging, old anchors, old steering consoles, old nautical signs

Facilities:
Old ships, canoes, boats, lifeboats, sailboats, sails, masts, rudders, rigging, fragments of ship hulls as elements of installation and much more …

How can you donate the exhibits?
